What Makes Our School Special?

1. Dr. Arthur Lo, Ontario-certified TCM practitioner and founder of Techwork Business Corporation, teaches all classes. 

2. Follows the Hong Kong Traditional Chinese Medicine tradition - all classes are taught in Cantonese 

3. After you graduate from our course, you can study for the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario's TCM exam, which will allow you to become a registered TCM practitioner in Ontario, Canada. You may also request to be sent to the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, West China Hospital, Sichuan University or the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to conduct research and gain more hands-on experience. 

4. You can access our courses through Moodle on any devices and at any time. It doesn't matter where you live - as long as you have a working Internet connection, you will be able to access our courses! 

5. Our school used to be called the Toronto International Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture  - TIITCMA). TIITCMA was a physical school that was established by Bill Lo and Arthur Lo in 1999, and it was recognized by Human Resources Development Canada as being an Educational Institution.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I need to apply for the whole year, or can I apply for several parts?

​

Our program can last up to four years, depending on your preferences. 

If you don't want to be a TCM doctor in Ontario, you can just study for a year (or less).

If you want to be a TCM doctor in Ontario, you can apply for the Ontario TCM exam after four years of study.

2. What is the difference between online colleges and other colleges that offer diplomas?

We only offer our own diploma, which isn't recognized by the government.

3. Is this course accredited by the Ontario government?

​​

No.

As a note, the Ontario Ministry of Education has not accredited any TCM university or college program. The closest equivalent is Humber College's Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner course, but taking that course doesn't mean you become a registered TCM practitioner in Ontario. You still have to study for the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario's TCM exam on your own.

Like other TCM schools, we provide basic TCM courses so that students can obtain licenses through self-study after graduation. You can also take these courses if you just want to learn TCM for fun.

After graduating, you can register for the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario's TCM exam, study on your own based on the materials we've provided, and obtain a license.
